Un jeune homme atteint d’un grave trouble cognitif se voit administrer un médicament expérimental qui lui restaure la mémoire et son identité. Alors que son passé refait surface, il doit affronter le monde des adultes, dur et impitoyable, tout en luttant contre les effets secondaires du médicament, transformant son éveil en une lutte fragile entre lucidité et folie.
